Metric kicked off NXNE, Toronto's summer music festival, with a free concert last night at Sugar Beach. While the weather was dreary and wet, the air was rich with sound from their newest album, Synthetica, which was just released today. I've been a Metric fan since I first heard Dead Disco back in 2003, and it was amazing to finally hear them live even though this concert was brief.
